Rajasthan Budget 2026: Major Boost for Farmers; Key Announcements Bring Big Relief to Kissans

Published on 11 February 2026, Patrika reported that the Rajasthan Budget 2026-27 brought a series of major announcements for farmers aimed at boosting rural incomes and agricultural productivity. The budget, presented by Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Diya Kumari, included a ₹25,000 crore interest-free short-term loan scheme to support over 35 lakh farmers, with the government bearing ₹800 crore of interest costs.

To protect crops, ₹228 crore has been allocated for fencing and stray animal control, and expanded irrigation infrastructure is planned with pipelines and farm ponds. A new ‘Mission Raj GIFT’ will help farmers get better prices for their produce, while subsidies on farm machinery and 160 crore support for custom hiring centres will modernise cultivation.

The budget also includes free advanced seeds for 2.5 lakh farmers and the establishment of vermicompost units in every gram panchayat to improve soil health.
